“LOUD”
Opening Reception: Friday, June 4, 2021
Starting at 3:00 pm
Exhibition ongoing till the 4th of July
Galeries Lafayette
Belvedere Art Space is pleased to invite you to its 4th contemporary collective exhibition and first international Pop-up
exhibition in Dubai, “LOUD”!
After the difficult year in Lebanon, home
of the gallery’s flagship location, and the catastrophic Beirut blast of August
4, 2021 the gallery owners made the bold decision to keep pushing forward and
to use their pain to strengthen their resolve and their belief in better days
ahead.
“LOUD” is a bold and assertive statement
of strength, optimism, and creativity. It is a declaration to live and
seek a life led by courage colors and spontaneity despite all obstacles. We
believe that art is a daring expression of vivid thoughts and emotions, speaking
them out LOUD without fear or hesitation. Opening up a world of unlimited optimism,
positivity and hope even in the most difficult times.
The show will include works from 13 established artists hailing from
different parts of the world and showing in Dubai for the first time. This carefully curated one-of-a-kind show
includes contemporary paintings, sculptures, wall sculptures, and mixed media
artworks.
JOIN US on the 4th of June at
Galeries Lafayette to meet our team for an open-ended discussion
about our selection of artworks and our contemporary notion of Art from all
over the Globe.
Participating artists: Christopher Florentino (USA),
James Verbicky (Canada), Jonathan Paul (USA), Lino Lago (Italy), Derick Smith
(Ireland), Ismael Lagares (Spain), Poren Huang (Taiwan), Craig Alan (USA), Lene
Kilde (Norway), Dylan Gebbia Richards (USA), Ihab Ahmad (Lebanon), Akil (Syria), and Charles Patrick (USA).
This show is dedicated to Houssam Al-Batal, a husband, a
father, a friend and one of Belvedere Art Space’s co-founders and visionaries
who tragically lost his life in the August 4 Beirut Port Blast. You are dearly missed.
